Steam Ribs with Black Bean Sauce
Serves 3
- 1 lb Neck Born
- 1 tbsp Black Bean Sauce
- 2 Dry Sweet Plum
- 2 tsp Mashed Garlic
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- Cut ribs into bite size pieces and then put in a bowl
- Marinate ribs with all ingredients for 1/2 hour
- Place the bowl of ribs into boiling water in a saucepan. Cover the saucepan and steam
over medium heat for 30 minute.
P.S. Check the water level, refilling with boiling water if necessary.
Tomato Onion Beef Stew
Serves 4
- 10 oz lean beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes discard seeds and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoons sesame oil
- Saute beef in veg oil until browned. Add onion and tomato and saut� for two minutes.
- Put entire mixture in large saucepot. Combine and add soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil cook over low heat for 30 minutes and serve.
Ground Pork Pudding
Serves 3
- 3 eggs
- 2 oz ground pork
- 2 tablespoon minced green onion
- 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- .Put minced onion, ground pork and eggs in a large mixing bowl; stir well. Add soy sauce, salt and water; mix thoroughly.
- Place bowl in the saucepan put approximately 2 inches of boiling
water in the bottom. Cover the saucepan and steam over medium heat
for 20 minutes and serve.
P.S. Check the water level, refilling with boiling water if necessary.
Stir Fry String Beans
Serves 3
- 1 lb. string beans
- 1/2 oz dried shrimps
- 3 oz preserved Szechuan vegetable
- 3 oz lean pork
- 1/2 tablespoon ginger (cut into the size of sesame)
- 1 tablespoon sesame
Seasoning (1)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoon water
Seasoning (2)
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 2 stalks spring onion (minced)
- Trim both ends of string beans and cut into 2� sections. Wash and drain.
- Wash dried shrimps. Soak and mince.
- Wash Szechuan vegetable. Soak for 20 minutes to remove saltiness. Mince.
- Mince pork finely.
- Put string beans in hot oil to stir fry 2 minutes (until skin of bean is slightly wrinkled). Remove and set aside.
- Saut� pork, dried shrimps, ginger and preserved Szechuan vegetable in 3 tablespoon oil. Add string beans. Stir-fry for a while. Add seasoning (1). Fry until liquid dried up. Add seasoning (2). Stir well. Add sesame oil and mix well. Can be served hot or cold.
Steam Pork Cake
Serves 3
- 10 oz ground pork
- 3 black mushroom
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 teaspoon sesame
- Soak black mushroom and minced
- Mix pork and black mushroom; add soy sauce, pepper, and cornstarch. Stir in water and sesame oil; mix well
- Shape the mixture in a large bowl. Place bowl in the saucepan put
approximately 2 inches of boiling water in the bottom. Cover the
saucepan and steam over medium heat for 30 minutes and serve.
